Keyboard instrument rentals
The Czech Music Fund hires out at its branches in
Prague,

upright pianos, pianos and harpsichords at very reasonable prices.

Hiring conditions:
- We conclude contracts for an indefinite period of time, with the minimum time of
hire being 6 months.
- With regard to the fact that the instruments are expensive, upon the signing of
a contract we also require one guarantor with a permanent residence different from
that of the customer. The guarantor bears liability up to the value of the instrument
hired, and we will only contact him/her in the case that the customer is in lengthy
default with payment of the rental fee, and possibly in the case that the customer
has changed his/her residence, etc. Another variant is to pay a deposit in the amount
of the instrument’s value which remains with us throughout the time of the rental
relation.
- A rental fee paid for 6 months in advance (the payment is always made for half a
year).
Tuning, repairs:
- We always hire out the instruments tuned. For further tuning or repairs, you can
make use of the services of our experienced tuning team.
Transport:
- Specialist transport is booked and paid by the customer; upon request, we provide
contacts to reliable haulage companies. At the present time, the price for moving
a piano to a ground floor is approximately CZK 2,200 (an upright piano weighs almost
250 kg).

Our rental branches offer a wide scale of instruments from which you can choose.
At the same time, you can conclude a contract with us. To enter into a contract,
you need to provide a document serving as proof of ID, as does your guarantor, and
pay the rental fee for six months. The final step is ordering the transportation
and conveyance of the hired instrument. Throughout the contractual relation, every
January and July we will send you a request for payment of the next 6-month rental
fee. To terminate the contract, you must send us written notice of cancellation
and ensure transport of the instrument back to our rental office. As regards possible
overpayments, we will return them forthwith.
